- Annihilation – Spearhead
- Capture & Control – Dawn of War
- Capture & Control – Pitched Battle
- Capture & Control – Spearhead
- Seize Ground – Dawn of War
- Seize Ground – Pitched Battle
- Seize Ground – Spearhead
Basic Rules:
Armies will consist of a preset number of points using a standard force organization chart.
- The tournament fee will be $15.
- The Warhammer 40,000 5th Edition Rules will be used.
- Only the most current AdeptiCon INAT/GW FAQ will be used.
- Forge World/Imperial Armor units are not allowed in the KFG Tournaments; however players may still use their Forge World models to represent a unit from their codex.
- Individual units that may have multiple rules versions will follow the rules presented in that army’s codex. Yes, this means a Black Templar Land Raider will function differently than a standard Space Marine Land Raider. Please take the time to review the relevant GW/AdeptiCon FAQ’s for clarifications.
- Special/Unique/Named Characters may be fielded.
- The models used in your army must comply with KFG’s Model Policy.
- The ‘What You See Is What You Get’ (WYSIWYG) rule is in effect. That means all units must be easily identifiable as the particular codex choice they represent and that any and all weapons/options taken must be clearly represented on the model(s). The only exception to this are hard to model upgrades such as extra armor and daemonic possession. If any non standard GW upgrades, wargear and/or miniatures are being used they must be clearly identifiable and explained clearly to opponents before the game has started.
- You must provide access to your own rules (which include the actual Codex used for your army), dice, templates, pen/pencil, calculator, or anything else you’ll need during the course of regular play.
- A separate printed army list is required for the judges and each of your opponents.
- Rounds will be on average 120 minutes long. This allows for 3 rounds per tournament plus a one hour lunch.
- In order to keep the tournament running on schedule, when time is called for a round, all player’s must drop the dice and stop playing – no exceptions. Because of this, please be aware of the time left in the round and do not start a turn you cannot finish. A hard warning will be issued with 15 minutes remaining in the game. NO Game Turn shall be started after this warning is issued, period.
- If illegal units or rules violations are found in a player’s list, the models in violation will be removed from all subsequent play. Tournament points may be deducted and award eligibility may be forfeited. Please ask any questions may have regarding rules issues or legal units in advance!
- KFG Tournament Judges’ and Officers’ rulings are final and arguments or poor conduct by players will not be tolerated. KFG reserves the right to remove players from the tournament with no refunds allowed.
- The tournament takes sign ups usually posted 3 weeks in advance. Players may come down in person to sign up or do so by providing all relevant information in an email to events@knightfallgames.com. Once an event signup system is in place players may also use this to sign up via the website.
- KFG alternates are on a first come first serve policy. I open the doors and whoever is first to give me their name goes on the alternate list.
- If a player is not at the tournament 15 minutes prior to the start of the tournament (without calling) then the 1st alternate player takes that position.
- All entry fees are non refundable for cash, if you have to cancel (before the tournament starts) you will receive KFG store credit in the amount of your entry fee.
- Players are responsible for making sure to advance the game in a quick and orderly fashion. This means that you are required to be at your table and ready to start when the beginning of the round is called and must remain at the table throughout the duration of the round barring emergencies or bathroom breaks. In the event that you need to leave the table for any reason you must inform your opponent and make an effort to return in a timely manner.
- Players found to be delaying the game through poor conduct, refusal to make every effort to remain at the table, or purposefully extending the length of their turn may be forced to forfeit the current game. If this behavior continues they will be asked to leave.
- These rules are subject to change and may be updated as need without notice by any of the KFG staff.

Scoring:
Battle Points:
The scoring system for each round breaks down as the following:
Massacre = 10 points
Major Victory = 7 points
Draw = 5 points
Minor Loss = 3 points
Major Loss = 1 point
There is also a total of 4 bonus points available during each mission.
If you concede to your opponent at any point during the game, the opponent wins by Masacre. If you table your opponent, the game ends at that point. The person who tabled their opponent wins by Major Victory in any non-kill point based game unless they have satisfied the scenario conditions to qualify for a Massacre.
Sportsmanship:
At the end of the tournament you will be asked to rank your games in order of which you thought was the most enjoyable to the least. The ballots are turned in to the Tournament Organizer and scored as follows:
For each person who listed you as their 1st Most enjoyable game = 5 points each vote.
For each person who listed you as their 2nd Most enjoyable game = 3 points each vote.
For each person who listed you as their 3rd Most enjoyable game = 1 points each vote.
Painting:
The painting for KFG Tournaments is based off the standard that a model is completely painted and based. This means if the average person were to look at your model they would say yes it is completely painted. Also the models will be compared to each other as a baseline. The scoring is by model count (MC & Vehicles count as 3 models for determining model count since they are substantially larger.) While there are differing degrees of painting skills this is not a painting contest, and it will be judged as follows:
100% of the models are painted and based = 10 points
50% of the models are painted and based = 5 points
Less than 50% of the models are painted and based = 0 points
Prizes
The awards for the tournament are broken down as follows:
The person with the highest overall combined point total is the Best Overall winning 1st place and getting 40% of the prize pool.
The person with the second highest overall combined point total is the second Best Overall and wins 25% of the prize pool.
The person with the highest battle points total gains Best General and wins 25% of the prize pool.
The person with the highest sportsmanship points total has achieved Best Sport place and wins 15% of the prize pool.
Last Man Standing will go to whomever receives the lowest combined point total and will receive a refund in store credit equal to the entry fee.
*Any ties will be determined by kill points.
